Access to advocacy: people with disability from culturally diverse backgrounds during the COVID-19 pandemic

November 12, 2021 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

About the project

The Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria (ECCV) is conducting a research project with the aim of understanding the experiences of people with disability from culturally diverse communities in accessing disability advocacy support services during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project is funded by the Victorian Office for Disability.

We are inviting you, your carer and family, to take part in a focus group of 5-7 participants. This focus group will last around 1.5-2 hours. During this meeting you will be able to share your experience in accessing disability advocacy and other support services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Participants will receive a $50 voucher as a reimbursement for their time for participating.

If you cannot attend one of these focus groups, we can organise one-on-one interviews via phone or Zoom another day or time.

Anything that you tell us during the focus group (or interview) will be kept confidential (private) by ECCV.

If you would like to be involved in this research and require support (e.g. interpreter, support worker, note taker), please make contact with us to confirm your specific needs.

For more information or if you’re interested in being involved, you may contact:

ECCV Policy & Practice Advisor
