It is with sadness that we announce the departure of Emiliano Zucchi as Chief Executive Officer of the Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria, effective 5 May 2023.
Since January 2021, Emiliano has led the growth and success of the organisation and while we will miss his leadership, we wish him the best of luck in his new role as the CEO of Language Loop.
We would like to thank Emiliano for his commitment to advocating for migrant and refugee communities, and building the capacity of the multicultural sector during his time at ECCV.
Emiliano has been involved with ECCV for many years as convenor of our Health and Wellbeing Policy Advisory Committee.
We thank him for his contribution to ECCV and are pleased our association will continue with his new role at Language Loop, one of our member organisations.
The recruitment process for a new CEO will begin this week.
During this transition period, it is our priority to find the best person to lead ECCV, while still maintaining stable and effective organisation for our members, communities and stakeholders.
As ECCV prepares to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2024, this will be an exciting opportunity to help shape multicultural policy in Victoria and lead the organisation during an exciting new chapter.
