COVID-19 Multicultural Outreach

ECCV is supporting Victoria’s migrant and refugee communities through the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine program, as well as continuing to inform and support COVIDSafe responses in multicultural communities.

ECCV’s bilingual community outreach team has worked alongside health experts to deliver community information sessions for people from migrant and refugee backgrounds across Metropolitan Melbourne, The team engages hard-to-reach communities with culturally appropriate, in-language information sessions and workshops conducted online and face-to-face and delivered by health experts.

The team also supports seniors clubs and attends public events to share the latest public health information, distribute masks, sanitiser and RAT kits and encourage COVIDSafe practices.

ECCV is partnering with a range of community organisations, including sporting clubs, ethnic associations and social groups, to help keep migrant and refugee communities engaged, supported and informed during the pandemic.
