Representing Victorian Immigrant & Refugee Women’s Coalition (Multicultural Women Victoria)
Zeynep has worked as a researcher, community development worker and social worker in a range of non-profit community organisations in the areas of settlement, women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, and child and family services.
She has a particular interest in human rights and social justice issues which has led her to be actively involved in many grassroots organisations as a volunteer, community advocate and committee of management members, including the Dallas Neighborhood House, Alevi Federation of Australia, Alevi Community Council of Australia, Northern Health and the Victorian and Immigration Refugee Women’s Coalition.
Currently, she is a member of the Equality Rights Alliance, a national network of women’s organisations advocating for women’s equality, women’s leadership and recognition of women’s diversity.
