ECCV and The Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) are pleased to announce that the biennial FECCA conference, Advancing Multicultural Australia, will take place 10-11 March 2022 in Melbourne.
Our community’s health and safety is our priority and to ensure this important conference can go ahead in person, the event was moved to 2022. We are are hopeful that by March 2022 most people in Australia will have had their COVID-19 vaccinations and can travel with confidence.
We look forward to FECCA 2022, where we will have the opportunity to come together to discuss issues such as immigration and the economy, rising racism, the health of our communities, migrant workers, and so much more.
The conference will be held at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins on Thursday & Friday 10-11 March 2022, with a welcome reception on the evening of Wednesday 9 March 2022.
Speakers will include:
- Professor Megan Davis: Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous and Professor of Law at UNSW.
- Behrouz Boochani: Journalist, Human Rights advocate, writer, film producer.
- Kumi Taguchi: Journalist, broadcaster and current host of Insight on SBS.
This face-to-face conference will allow people from across the country to share their knowledge and lived experiences, particularly in the aftermath of COVID-19. Attendees will actively engage in meaningful networking at this inspiring, insightful and memorable biennial event.
We know these have been challenging times and we look forward to coming together in Melbourne to look to the future.
