SUMMARY:Cultural Diversity Week 2022
DESCRIPTION:ECCV is proud to support Cultural Diversity Week 2022. Every year in March\, Cultural Diversity Week bring Victorians together to celebrate the colourful sounds\, sights\, movements and tastes of the state’s rich multicultural communities. Cultural Diversity Week invites us to reconnect\, share and express ourselves creatively through this year’s theme; ‘Connecting Through Culture’. \nThe United Nation’s International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination paved the way for Cultural Diversity Week. This International Day\, observed on 21 March each year\, reminds us that while celebrating multiculturalism is vital\, so too is supporting and advocating on behalf of multicultural communities. While racism exists\, we must continue to use our voice to work with and for communities to see it eliminated. \nTo find out more about the activities and resources the Victorian Multicultural Commission and the Victorian government have in store for Cultural Diversity Week\, click the button below. \n \n Find out more

SUMMARY:Access to advocacy: people with disability from culturally diverse backgrounds during the COVID-19 pandemic
DESCRIPTION:About the project \nThe Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria (ECCV) is conducting a research project with the aim of understanding the experiences of people with disability from culturally diverse communities in accessing disability advocacy support services during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project is funded by the Victorian Office for Disability. \nWe are inviting you\, your carer and family\, to take part in a focus group of 5-7 participants. This focus group will last around 1.5-2 hours.
