Social Housing Regulation Review – Consultation Session for Agencies & Service Providers
October 15 @ 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
The Victorian Government is currently reviewing the regulations governing social housing in Victoria, in order to best support the long-term wellbeing of existing and prospective tenants and the growth of social housing. (More information about the Review can be found here.) They are keen to hear the views of organisations in the multicultural sector that provide housing services or work with residents that live in public or community housing.
To facilitate this, the Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria will be facilitating an online consultation with the Review Panel. This consultation session provides an opportunity for interested organisations to share their views and ideas directly with the Panel. Detailed knowledge of social housing regulations is not required.
The panellists are Emeritus Professor of Public Policy and Economy at RMIT University, Emeritus Professor David Hayward, Commissioner for Residential Tenancies in Victoria, Dr Heather Holst and Dr David Cousins AM, who has extensive prior experience in policy and regulation roles.
Your contribution to this consultation process would be invaluable in ensuring the housing system reflects culturally safe housing and services. Register now to participate:
