Multicultural women working and volunteering at the grassroots level bring an incredible range of skill and experience. We all need to tap into this talent pool more.
As we head into International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March, ECCV is pleased to share that we will soon be delivering scholarships for up to 24 emerging women leaders identified from grassroots organisations.
The scholarship holders will have the opportunity to attend Women Deliver, one of the world’s largest conferences on gender equality being hosted for the first time in Melbourne.
More than 6500 advocates from 170-plus countries are expected to come together next month to build solidarity and share empowering strategies for a fairer world for women.
ECCV’s CEO, Farah Farouque, said:
Multicultural women are already leading change in their communities every day.
A priority for ECCV is to back that leadership – opening doors, building connections and making sure women’s voices are heard where decisions are made.
These scholarships will help us boost this agenda.
ECCV is excited to support multicultural women from Victoria to have their voices heard in this unique global setting here at home.
ECCV acknowledges the support of the Victorian Government to deliver the scholarships.

Please note: due to the tight timeframe, this initiative is not an open-call.
