I am an ex-refugee from Iraq who has been living in Australia for 16 years. As a passionate young person, I have worked in and led many youth and community organisations in Melbourne’ s northern suburb as well as being part of many advisory and advocacy boards to multiple government and NFP organisations. Although my tertiary education was in biomedicine and cancer research, I have found a passion in helping young people and migrant/refugee communities face their current challenges and prosper in this society. I believe in making a positive change in the world I live in, so it is my duty to take every opportunity to work with those who share my vision to make this world a better place for us all to live in and for the next generation to thrive in.
