I have been involved in advocating for ethnic minorities since arriving in Australia in the 1960s. As a founding member of the Ethnic Community Council of Victoria (ECCV), I have seen this organisation grow and do so much in making this State the most multicultural state in the Federation. I also served on the ECCV Board and as Chairperson between 2011 and 2013.
I am currently Honorary President of the Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils of Australia (FECCA) and have served as its Chairperson from 2013-2017.
I have served as Councillor and Mayor in the former City of Brunswick and Councillor and Mayor in the City of Moreland. I have a Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations and HAM as well as a Master of Business from AMIT.
I have the community experience as well the formal qualification, to make a difference in such an important community service. I seek your endorsement to continue to serve our community well.
