Policy Submissions & Position Papers

The following policy areas form the basis of policy review and development for the ECCV in 2011-2013 but are not exclusive.

At the Victorian State level:

• Aged care for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities;
• Language services provision;
• New and emerging communities;
• CALD communities and drug and alcohol issues;
• CALD communities and families, women, youth and children;
• Racism and discrimination;
• Disability
• Workforce Participation
• CALD communities and mental health issues;
• CALD communities and chronic health conditions;
• Maintenance of the bi-partisan approach to Multiculturalism;

At the Federal Government level and in consultation with ARC and FECCA, ECCV will keep a watching brief on the following areas:

• Population policy 
• Immigration and settlement polices
• Refugee and asylum seeker policy
• Counter-terrorism laws; and
• Support for Multiculturalism.
