Policy Submissions
The following policy areas form the basis of policy review and development for the Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria in 2009.
At the Victorian State level:
- Aged care for culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD);
- Language services provision;
- New and emerging communities;
- CALD communities and drug and alcohol issues;
- CALD communities and families, women, youth and children
- Victorian Government’s proposed Human Rights Charter; and
- CALD communities and mental health issues.
At the Federal Government level:
The ECCV will keep a watching brief on the following areas:
- Industrial relations changes;
- Counter-terrorism laws; and
- Support for Multiculturalism.
