March 2010 Latest Research Paper release - Multilingualism

The eccv is pleased to announce the release of its latest Research paper and first for 2010. Titled "I'm Multilingual...now what?, maximising the Potential of Multilingual Victorians" the paper is produced as part of the commitment the eccv makes to produce policy papers on a range of important issues for multicultural communities in Victoria.

 This timely research paper examines the wide array of perceptions about the value of multilingualism that exist in the education, employment and political spheres and the resulting impact upon career pathways and vocational opportunities for multilingual Victorians of secondary and tertiary age.

 The paper highlights the deficiencies in the ways in which multilingual Australians have their unique skills nurtured and utilised for the benefit of our society and it provides many interesting ideas about the ways we need to change if we are to maximise the potential of those with multilingual skills.
